Hexagon | NovAtel is pleased to announce the general release of 7.08.10 firmware enabling global RTK From the Sky™ technology support to enhance the performance of TerraStar-C PRO Correction Services. These improvements are available for the following NovAtel OEM7 platforms: OEM719, OEM729, OEM7700, CPT7700, PwrPak7, GT7800 and associated variants, excluding dual antenna variants. 

Hexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division’s RTK From the Sky technology delivers the fastest, most reliable PPP corrections worldwide with 99.999% availability, centimetre-level accuracy and convergence as fast as three minutes. The 7.08.10 firmware release integrates this technology into OEM7 platforms for use with a TerraStar-C PRO subscription. This release improves correction performance and convergence using quad frequencies in PPP, including the modernised BeiDou B1C, B2a, B2b and B3 and Galileo E6B signals.  

The 7.08.10 release includes: 

  • TerraStar-C PRO enhancements with global RTK From the Sky technology, including improved signal tracking and convergence using quad frequency signals 
  • Improved multipath mitigation  
  • Increased idle time available 
  • Enhancements when tracking the modernised BeiDou and Galileo signals 

A complete listing of all changes is available in the “What’s New” document included with the firmware download. With this update, the OEM7 platforms OEM719, OEM729, OEM7700, CPT7700, PwrPak7 and GT7800 will support RTK From the Sky technology with their TerraStar-C PRO subscriptions. Support for additional OEM7 platforms, including the PwrPak7D, will be enabled in future firmware releases.
