NovAtel’s GPS Anti-Jam Technology (GAJT) is a battle-proven assured positioning, navigation and timing (APNT) solution that protects your systems from radio frequency (RF) interference and jamming. The GAJT-710ML is a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) system suitable for land-based platforms and fixed installations.
RF interference and jamming are growing threats to military vehicles and platforms, networks and timing infrastructure, requiring an added level of protection and resiliency. With jammer direction-finding capabilities, GAJT provides situational awareness for users to better characterise their RF environment. A silent mode feature reduces its thermal signature to aid in avoiding detection.
The GAJT-710ML provides high-performance system protection in both benign and GPS jammed environments, including protection of GPS L1 and L2, Galileo E1, QZSS L1 and L2 and SBAS L1 signals. It is also compatible with and enables protection of M-code signals with a wide bandwidth to ensure future compatibility.
GAJT is easily integrated onto new platforms or can be retrofitted with existing GPS receivers and navigation systems on existing and legacy fleets.
NovAtel’s lean manufacturing techniques and approach to quality enable the delivery of high-performance products with minimal product and delivery times. Reliability is assured by NovAtel’s industry-best low return rate.

GAJT is a 7-element controlled reception pattern antenna and null-forming electronics inside a hardened enclosure suitable for a wide range of land vehicles and fixed platforms. The antenna adapts the reception pattern to reduce the gain in the direction of intentional and unintentional jammers to prevent the GNSS receiver electronics from being overpowered so that position and time measurements can still be computed.
Through proprietary digital beamforming algorithms, we achieve interference mitigation by creating dynamic nulls for protection against a variety of interference sources. Both intentional and unintentional interference is addressed.
GAJT mitigates GNSS interference by creating nulls in the antenna gain pattern in the direction of jammers, providing significant anti-jam protection even in dynamic multi-jammer scenarios. The output of the GAJT-710ML is a standard radio frequency (RF) feed, making it suitable for input to legacy as well as modern GPS receivers.
GAJT protects M-Code on L1 and L2 GPS signals. With a wide bandwidth, we ensure future compatibility with M-Code GPS.
